Helping Seniors and Families
Navigate Their Next Move

keys on hand

Whether you are planning a move for yourself or helping a parent or loved one, there can be a lot to figure out. I help seniors and families sort through the real estate decisions, timing, home preparation, and practical details so you can move forward with a clear plan.

I’ve been helping people buy and sell homes for more than 33 years, and as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I understand that these moves often involve much more than just the house.

Downsizing

If your current home no longer fits the way you want to live, I can help you make a plan for what comes next, whether that means one-level living, a smaller home, or a senior community, and how the sale of your current home fits into that move.

Ways I Help

Helping Parents Move

If you are helping a parent with a move or managing a home on their behalf, there may be questions about who can make decisions, how the property is titled, and what needs to happen before the home can be sold. I can help you work through those real estate details and coordinate with the people involved.

Assisted Living Transition

Sometimes a move to assisted living needs to happen quickly, before there is time to prepare and sell the home. In many cases, moving first can actually make the rest of the process easier. Once your loved one is settled, there is more room to sort through belongings, prepare the home, and avoid the disruption of showings while they are still living there.

Selling After a Loss

When a loved one has passed away, selling the home can be one more responsibility during an already difficult time. I can help you understand the real estate steps, coordinate with the trustee, personal representative, attorney, or family members involved, and help point you in the right direction if probate or other legal guidance is needed.

Estate Sale Help

When a home is filled with years of belongings, knowing how an estate sale works and who to call can be a big help. I have direct access to trusted estate sale companies and other professionals who can help with the belongings, clean out, donations, packing, and moving.

You Don’t Have to Figure It All Out Yourself

Move-First Funds

Sometimes the money needed for assisted living, moving expenses, or other transition costs is tied up in the home. I have access to a bridge-loan option that may help provide funds before the home is sold, so the move can happen first and the sale can follow afterward.

Home Prep Fund

If the home needs work before it is ready to sell and the money is tied up in the property, my Make It Ready Concierge program can help with the cost of things like repairs, painting, flooring, cleaning, landscaping, staging, and other home preparation.

Repair Help

Need help with repairs or improvement projects before listing? I can connect you with preferred handymen, licensed contractors, and other trusted vendors for everything from smaller fixes to more involved projects.

Reverse Mortgage
Purchase

Many seniors do not realize a reverse mortgage may be an option when purchasing their next home. I can help you understand how that may fit into the move and connect you with a trusted lender who specializes in this type of financing.

Reverse Mortgage
Home Sale

If the home has a reverse mortgage, do not assume the only option is to turn the property back over to the lender. Many homes still have equity that may belong to the homeowner or estate.

Estate Sale Help

I can connect you with trusted estate sale companies and other professionals who can help with estate sales, donations, hauling, packing, moving, and clean out.

I can connect you with trusted professionals who can help with packing, moving, storage, and the physical logistics of getting from one home to the next.

Meet Kristi

For more than 33 years, I’ve helped people work through real estate decisions during all kinds of life changes. Senior moves are often more complicated because there can be family members, belongings, timing, health concerns, trusts, repairs, and financial questions all happening at once.

My role is to help you understand what needs to happen first, what can wait, and how the pieces fit together so you have a clear plan for moving forward.
